The Town of Wallingford, under the guidance of Director Lawrie Roundy, will be offering a wonderful four-week program in 2026. Weeks are June 22, June 29, August 10 and August 17.

Registration forms and details below. New for 2026, all camp weeks must be paid in full no later than May 28, 2026. Deposits of $20 per child, per week are required at the time of registration with all balances due by May 28, 2026.

If you received a scholarship in previous years, but did not attend the program – you are not eligible to apply again unless there were extenuating circumstances.

Summer Program Policies

  • Offered to children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade.
  • Hours of operation: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.   
  • Children will need to bring their own snack, lunch, beverages, and sunscreen lotion.  We highly recommend that children bring a water bottle to be refilled throughout the day.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             


                                                                                                       

Summer Recreation Program

Daily Schedule:

Drop off and pick up will be at Elfin Lake. Drop off time will be no earlier than 8:00 a.m. Morning activities begin at 8:45 a.m.  Depending on the projects for the day— recycled-materials crafts, gardening, cooking, organized games, sports, or hiking– this may include a walk to the Wallingford Recreational Field.  After lunch, swimming and other beach activities. Children are expected to be picked up at Elfin Lake by 4:00 p.m.

Wallingford Summer Recreation Program requires a non-refundable $20 per family Registration Fee before May 28, 2026 or a non-refundable $25 per family registration fee after May 28, 2026 PLUS deposits of $20 per child, per week at the time of registration. New this year, full payments (after deposits) for all weeks are due no later than May 28, 2026.  Example, a family with one non-resident child attending two weeks of camp – before May 28 you owe the $20 registration fee and $20 deposits for two weeks ($40) for a total of $60 at the time of registration….after May 28 you owe $65. The non-refundable balance for the non-resident child attending two weeks is $150 to be paid no later than May 28th.

If you are registering a child after May 28th, registration and full payments are due at the time of registration.

All payments are non-refundable.  No exceptions, no refunds, no partial payments. Payments will not be accepted by the co-directors or staff. Registration is limited to 20 children per week on a first come, first serve basis.
