Get to Know Your Local Fungi
Join the Wallingford Conservation Commission for a guided forest walk and learn how to identify seasonal mushrooms found in Wallingford and throughout Northern New England. The walk will be led by experienced mushroom forager Janet Farmer-Kennedy, who will share tips on mushroom identification, habitat, and ecology.Date & Time: Saturday, August 8, 10:00 am 12:00 noon
Rain date: Sunday, August 9th
Location: The workshop will be held on the West Hill Road property of Susan Kramer and Glenn Mayer. Participants will walk along a forest trail with one small brook crossing. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. Bring water and bug spray.
Cost:$20 per person. Advance registration and payment are required. Space is limited to 15 participants.Registration & Information:
