In November, the library will be closed 11/12 in observance of Veteran’s Day. It will close at 3:00 p.m. on 11/21 and stay closed on 11/22 and 11/23 for Thanksgiving.

Book Discussion

This month, the book discussion group tackles A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. Copies are available at the front desk. A group discussion will take place on Monday, November 26 at 3:30 p.m.

Tree Lighting

The annual Lighting of the Tree and caroling at the Gilbert Hart Library will be held on Saturday, December 1 at 6:30 PM.  Cookies and hot chocolate in the library will follow the caroling.  Please join us! And for your book-loving friends and family, remember that you can find a wide selection of books at our on-going book sale in the Klock Room.  Lots of good titles including children’s books, cookbooks, mysteries, travel – something for everyone on your list!


Whist parties will be held Dec. 14 and January 11 and 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the Klock Room. For more information, call Carol Pratt at 446-2843.

Dinner and a Movie

Friends of the Library will host a dinner and movie at the Rotary Building on Saturday, February 23. More details to follow.

Knitting Group

A knitting group meets every Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Program for Children

Visit the library Friday mornings at 10:30 to participate in the children’s program.

Lego Club meets Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
