Wallingford Town Hall Wednesday Concert Series The Wallingford Town Hall Wednesday Concert Series has started up again and will feature Sky Blue Boys, a duo comprised of Willy and Dan Lindner, at the Town Hall on Wednesday, November 16th at 7:00 p.m. The duo has built up a large repertoire of wonderful old ballads, parlor songs, heart songs and sacred numbers. The Sky Blue Boys have expanded the accompaniment to include a variety of acoustic instruments and added many newer songs including several of their own compositions. Willy and Dan have played together for decades and perform all over the Northeast, including many engagements at Topnotch in Stowe. They formed the celebrated Vermont bluegrass band Banjo Dan and the Mid-nite Plowboys in 1972 and have toured and recorded extensively in that context, as well as sitting in on shows and recording sessions for many of the region’s top acoustic musicians. Suggested donations of $10 to $15 per person at the door.
Wallingford Town Hall Wednesday Concert Series Gypsy Reel will be performing on Wednesday, January 11th – play high energy stirring music rooted in the Celtic tradition but garnered from the whole world. Their music is an exciting synthesis of world rhythms and influences from 3 continents. The line-up includes talented banjoist Claudine Langille, Graham Parker – eclectic fiddler extraordinaire, Camille Parker on mandolin & bodhran and singing in French, Spanish and English, Silas Hamilton on standup bass and Reagh Greenleaf on bodhran and vocals. All concerts start at 7:00 p.m. with suggested donations of $10 to $15/person with all proceeds going to musicians less 10 percent to the Town.
