Out of an abundance of caution, Wallingford Selectboard Chair Nelson Tift would like to urge members of the public to refrain from attending the March 16 meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall in person. Instead, you may join via conference call.
The phone number is 1(312) 626-6799 and the meeting access code is 7330764419.
Please be advised, if you have symptoms of COVID-19 i.e. fever, cough and difficulty breathing or if you have been exposed to someone with the virus, please DO NOT come into Wallingford Town Hall. Contact the Town Clerk/Treasurer at 446-2336 or the Town Administrator at 446-2872 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com to assist in transacting your town business.
NEW: Travelers returning from China, Iran, Italy and South Korea should stay home and monitor their health for 14 days. Call Health Department epidemiology and infectious disease staff at 802-863-7240 for monitoring information. If you have symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty breathing call your health care provider.
PREVENTION: Person-to-person spread of the virus is thought to occur mainly via respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Much is still unknown about how the virus spreads.
Take these everyday preventive actions to help stop the spread of germs:
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Stay home when you are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
