The Wallingford Transfer Station accepts residential food scraps. Compostable bags for kitchen food scrap collectors are sold at the transfer station and Town Hall at a cost of $4 for a box of 25 of the 3-gallon bags.

The Town of Wallingford has a free supply of face masks for residents having difficulty obtaining personal protective equipment. Face masks may be picked up at Town Hall located at 75 School Street. Please note, distribution is limited to one face mask per person. You can call 446-2336 or email email@example.com to make arrangements to pick up your face mask.
The Town of Wallingford is accepting Request for Proposals from qualified contractors to upgrade the basketball court off Meadow Street. A site visit has been scheduled for Monday, August 24 at 8:00 a.m. with RFP’s due Friday, September 3 by 4:30 p.m.

The 07/23/20 Elfin Lake water test results for E.coli was 43.5 mpn/100ml. From the Vermont Dept. of Health website: E. coli in water is measured as the number of bacteria found in 100 milliliters (mL) of water. In Vermont, when the test result at a public swimming area is 235 E. coli/100mL or less, it means that the water is considered suitable for swimming. A result greater than 235 E. coli/100mL means that the water is not considered suitable for swimming
The Town of Wallingford’s summer paving projects will begin on Friday at the north end of Hartsboro Road and then a section of Waldo Lane. After those projects are completed, the east end of Church Street and Franklin Street will be paved. Fuller Sand and Gravel was awarded the Town’s summer paving projects.
Reminder, the municipal swimming facilities at Elfin Lake are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Swimmers assume all risk should they choose to swim or gather at Elfin lake.
