A public forum is being planned to gather input on a Neighborhood Watch program and options to address recent vandalism in town. The forum will feature Constable Jerry Tift, RCSD Deputy Chris Stephenson and members of the Wallingford Selectboard. State Agency of Transportation officials have delayed repairs to the Route 140W railroad crossing until next summer. The state indicated the repairs will be coordinated with a railroad bridge replacement project that is slated to take place during the next construction season.

The Wallingford Selectboard adopted a proclamation declaring October 3, 2014 as Bethany Bosch Day in recognition of her perseverance in swimming the English Channel.

The proclamation will be presented to Bethany at a Wallingford Elementary School celebration on Oct. 3.

VT Agency of Transportation’s Mladen Gagulic notified the town that improvements to the Hartsboro Road railroad crossing have been scheduled for mid-October and improvements to the Route 140W railroad crossing will take place during next year’s construction season.
