Assessor’s Office Notice

Wallingford Assessor John Tiffany will be assisted by NEMRC’s Joseph Zingale and David Ingelse addressing Building Permits starting the week of March 1. Mr. Zingale and Mr. Ingelse will be handling the inspections. They have IDs and signs on their vehicles. When they are done, property owners will receive a change of value notice in the spring.

Informational Meeting March 1, 2021

The public informational hearing for the proposed FY’22 budget and Town Meeting articles scheduled for Monday, March 1, 2021 at 7 p.m. will be conducted remotely via electronic means. The public will be able to access and participate in the remote hearing. Please note that whether you join by telephone, computer, or other device, you may be put on hold or in a waiting “room” until granted access to the hearing. You also may be muted or restricted from using any chat function until the public comment portion of the hearing. NOTE, please do not try to join the meeting any earlier than 6:30 p.m. as you will not be admitted.

Early Absentee Ballot Processing

The Wallingford BCA will open and process early absentee ballots through the voter tabulator machine on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in the Town Clerk’s Office at the Town Hall at 75 School Street, Wallingford, VT.

Applications Accepted

The Town of Wallingford is accepting lifeguard, concession stand and summer recreation program counselor applications for the upcoming season. No decisions have been made as to what, if any, summer programs will run. A decision whether to open Elfin Lake will be made at a later date. However, the Town is accepting applications for the above positions and will notify applicants as soon as decisions are made. Applications are available on the Documents page of this website or you can email townadmin@wallingfordvt.com or call 446-2872 to request an application.

Transfer Station Hours

The transfer station is open Mondays and Wednesdays from noon to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Reminder, face masks are required for all visitors. Safe distancing required and please stay home if sick or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. These safety measures are required at all municipal properties.

Per Selectboard Chair Nelson Tift: The transfer station will reopen Saturday, January 30th with extended hours from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Face masks are required. Residents are asked not to bring large loads to get people in and out of the facility as quickly and safely as possible. You may need to wait inside your vehicle if there are more than 4 vehicles being unloaded at any one time. Please stay home if you are sick or if you have been exposed to COVID-19. Thank you in advance for your patience.
