Wallingford Volunteer Fire Department will host the annual chicken barbecue on May 9. A 50/50 drawing will be held at the barbecue at 5:00 p.m. See a member of the fire department to purchase 50/50 tickets. Tickets are also available at Town Hall.

The inaugural Second Tuesday Open Mic will be Tuesday, April 14th at historic Wallingford Town Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music starts at 7:00 p.m. Sound system provided. Musicians, poets, storytellers – come and share your talents in front of a lively audience. Townspeople voted to approve all Articles on this year’s municipal Warning, including a sum not to exceed $1,046,759.44 for the General Operation of the town with an amount not to exceed $696,964.33 to be raised in property taxes for fiscal year 2016.
There were no contested races for elective offices.

All Homeowners in the Fire District #1 are being asked to please leave a faucet running in your house overnight to help reduce the number of frozen water lines. All invoices will be adjusted next quarter, so do not worry about running the water. Please continue to let faucets run overnight until further notice.
