Wallingford Volunteer Fire Department will host the annual chicken barbecue on May 9. A 50/50 drawing will be held at the barbecue at 5:00 p.m. See a member of the fire department to purchase 50/50 tickets. Tickets are also available at Town Hall.

The inaugural Second Tuesday Open Mic will be Tuesday, April 14th at historic Wallingford Town Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music starts at 7:00 p.m. Sound system provided. Musicians, poets, storytellers – come and share your talents in front of a lively audience.  Non-profit groups interested in sponsoring fundraiser bake sales at the monthly events should contact the Town Administrator at 446-2872 or email townadmin@wallingfordvt.com

Townspeople voted to approve all Articles on this year’s municipal Warning, including a sum not to exceed $1,046,759.44 for the General Operation of the town with an amount not to exceed $696,964.33 to be raised in property taxes for fiscal year 2016.

There were no contested races for elective offices.
