Minutes – fully approved.
Town Energy Plan – Where are we? Tim has supplied a
couple of town models for us to use as templates. Ken suggests we definitely
need to address renewables. The Plan should discuss policies that the town might
adopt relative to wind proposals, hydro projects, biomass, electric
co-generation with True Temper, etc. The various authors of the sections should
draft their sections. Ken will contact Ann Tiplady to see if the Planning
Commission has a deadline for the town plan submission.
Municipal Building Audit – we should follow-thru with our
recommendations to have the Town Hall building audited.
Mobil home energy use – Joyce will distribute “energy
efficiency” booklets to each of the 44 mobile home owners in town. Ken says
they also need to have friends/neighbors speak with them as well. This is a
start on this issue. Jay suggests we organize an energy seminar for the owners
and offer snacks/dessert. Ken knows a couple contractors who may be willing to
offer a few quick energy tips.
New Business: will start insulating Town Hall next week –
shooting for an R-60, and installing a curtain over the eves. There’s also
been a few structural improvements on this bldg.
