Present:
Carol Macleod, Anne Miller,
Ralph Nimtz, Tim Chila, and Tom Phillips
Update on berm removal for parking area:
Tom Phillips is working on his small bulldozer and should be ready to
begin to remove berm in about 2 weeks. He
will email everyone so that we know when this will occur and we will provide
assistance as needed.
Geologic formation: Ralph
has taken pictures and will try to locate
the
geologist at Castleton
State
to see if she can shed some light as to what this structure represents.
General discussion of direction and areas of information
for the
committee: We discussed
the
necessity for grant writing and education about what was available and how other groups have done what we wish to accomplish.
Carol is to call Michael Smith of Pine
Hill
Park
to see if we can meet with him. It
was suggested that Doug Reeves of
the
Forest Service (and Wallingford
resident) might be able to enlighten us regarding trail construction.
