Wallingford Fire District No. 1

 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL COMMITTEE MEETING
May 13, 2009

Called to Order:  Scott Sendra called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.   Also present was Charlie Baker, Dennis Stocker, and Maureen Duchesne/Clerk-Treasurer. 

Visitors:  Alicia Sharp, Donnie Boyd, Linda Hudson, Dean Mooney, and Bill Brooks  

Linda Hudson and Dean Mooney came to see what was going on with the boy’s camp as they have it for the Maple Leaf Clinic for 2 weeks. We did give a run down as to what was happening and where we stood with the insurance. Dennis brought up a few places that had contacted him that would be willing to help any of our parties out that we had to cancel.  

Bill Brooks came just to see how things were going as far as the reconstruction at the Boys Camp.  

Donnie Boyd came to state that he had been using his mower and gas for the last year to mow the 2 fire stations and asked about getting paid for some of his time and gas money.  He said he would do it for $40.00 every 2 weeks. Dennis made the motion to pay Donnie and it was seconded by Charlie . There was some discussion as to where to take this money in the budget and was decided to pay from Station Expenses.  The motion carried. (3/0)  

Approval for Minutes:  Scott made a motion and Charlie seconded that the minutes for April 8th and April 27th be accepted as presented. With no discussion motion carried. (3/0)  

Approval for the Fire District Pay Order:  Charlie made a motion and Dennis seconded that the pay orders be accepted. With no discussion motion carried. (3/0)  

Old Business:  The Fun Day donation was brought up again and Charlie made a motion Dennis seconded it that we would do a $50.00 donation.  After no discussion the motion carried. (3/0)  

New Business:  The Identity Theft Prevention Program was gone over and signed by all Prudential Committee Members.  

Public Comments:  None.  

Other Business/Announcements:  Alicia stated that the delinquent taxes were nearly ready so that the billing could go out.  

Executive Session:  None.

Next Meeting:  The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at 6:00 P.M. at the Wallingford Fire Station on Railroad Street.  

Adjournment:  Scott S made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.   Charlie B seconded the motion.  No further discussion.  Motion carried (3/0).  The meeting adjourned at 7:10 P.M.
