Wallingford Selectboard Minutes

Chair F. Bruce called the Selectboard meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Minutes. The July 26th minutes were approved on a motion made by C. Angel, and seconded by J. Crowley. Motion carried (3-0). The July 19th minutes were approved on a motion made by J. Crowley, and seconded by C. C. Angel. Motion carried (3-0).. Selectboard Orders. King Cutter’s mowing bill for $1,060 was added to the pay orders. J. Crowley made a motion to approve the pay orders totaling $6,996.75. F. Bruce seconded the motion. Motion carried (3-0). Tax
Public
Comment. New
RSSU Superintendent Dana Cole-Levesque came to introduce himself to the
Selectboard. He replaced
Walter Goetz who retired June 30th. Outdoor Storage of Junk Violation Status.
The Selectboard reviewed Mrs.
Dawson’s response to getting the property cleaned up on River Street. Copies will be sent to the
neighbors asking for their acceptance of her letter. Town
Garage Underground Storage Tank Report.
The Selectboard were agreeable to sending Julie’s proposed letter to
the State in regards to the inspection report on the underground storage tank. Key
Request.
Julie requested a key to Town Hall be given to the Wallingford Historical
Society president for upstairs access. She
also asked that a key be given to the Planning Commission Chair until a Zoning
Administrator has been hired. Approval
was given on a motion made by F. Bruce and seconded by J. Crowley.
Motion carried (3-0). Letters
of Resignation. On
a motion made by J. Crowley and seconded by F. Bruce, Chris Schmelzenbach’s
resignation as Zoning Administrator, effective August 3rd, was
accepted. Motion carried (3-0).
Mr. Schmelzenbach accepted a full-time position with an engineering firm.
Tim Chila has resigned from both the Conservation Commission and
Recreation Development Committee due to family issues.
Mr. Chila also sent notification that Tony Esposito and Ed Safford
resigned from the Energy Committee. Road
Commissioner’s Report. The
grader is still in for repair as it was leaking hydraulic oil.
The project on Wallingford Pond Road
is still moving along slowly. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m. |
