Wallingford Fire District No. 1

 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL COMMITTEE MEETING
December 8, 2010

Called to Order:  Scott Sendra called the meeting to order at 5:34 p.m. also present was Alicia Sharp, and Maureen Duchesne Clerk/Treasurer.  

Visitors:  Don Phillips arrived at 5:30 so decided to hold regular meeting before doing budgets as no other visitors were in attendance.  Don came to inform the board that the company now has a new name which is Aldrich + Elliott and gave a brief story as to what has recently taken place in the company.  Don also talked about an option of doing a 10 year loan plan to help pay for a major water project that could be done to upgrade our system.  This is only something to consider.  

Approval for Minutes:  Alicia made a motion to approve the minutes as presented and it was seconded by Scott.  With no further discussion the motion carried (2/0).  

Approval for the Fire District Pay Order:   Scott made a motion to approve the pay orders and Alicia seconded the motion. Motion carried (2/0).

Old Business: Scott informed the board that he had gotten the snow blower and some very needed tools for the water and sewer departments to use.  

New Business:  The board will only hold one regular meeting in December as the second one falls during Christmas week and they knew at least one board member that would not be around for that meeting.

The board was informed that the fire dept van did not pass inspection so that will mean two vehicles they will be down unless they spend some money to fix at least the van after the 1^st of the year.

Executive Session: None

Next Meeting:  The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be January 12, 2011 at 6:00 P.M. at the Wallingford Fire Station on Railroad Street .    

Adjournment:  Scott made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.  Alicia seconded the motion.  No further discussion.  Motion carried (2/0).  The meeting adjourned at 6:45 P.M.
