NEW
BUSINESS: A huge pat on the back to all current members for being reappointed
for another two years!
Election
of Officers: Tim Chila, sadly, offered his resignation – he’s moving on to
the next plateau. The group offered their sincere thanks for Tim’s excellent
and unselfish service. Ralph
nominated as co-chairs Jay White and Ken Welch – unanimous support for these
nominations from the group. Should these chairs act as energy coordinators?
Ralph nominated Doug as secretary, and Doug accepted. Bert
nominated as treasurer – unanimous vote in favor.
TOWN
GARAGE: Jay – no cost estimate just yet, but it’s coming, hopefully soon.
Jay has put together a scope of work including spray foam application, as a feasibility
study to present to the Selectboard for re-hab option. Bill Lohsen working on
electrical scope of work. Also
includes three options for the walls and two for overhead doors.
The
energy committee will meet informally on the 21st (before Selectboard meeting)
if the cost estimates are available to go over estimates.
STREET
LIGHTING UPDATE: deferred till summer – still questions on the necessity of
some of the lights and their locations. Should there be a policy? Hopefully the
Prudential Committee will make some decisions on this.
Ken:
CVPS will be developing a tariff for the public service board. Once the tariff
is in, Efficiency VT will replace old bulbs with LED’s for no cost to town.
Alicia needs to know this – ken will inform her.
WALLINGFORD
ENERGY PLAN: 3 components are available now –
solar, hydro and biomass. Still lacking wind, efficiency and transportation
sections are still not done. Doug will talk to John West about providing a
significant portion of the energy section of the town plan and give him a status
update on our progress. Tim will do wind section, Burt – efficiency, Joyce
–statement of purpose.
New
potential members? : Mike Bird, Chris Dinnan.
NEW
BUSINESS: Neighborworks is challenging towns to beat other towns in the number
of audits/retrofits. Prize is up to $10K awarded to winning town. Ken will get
more information for us for next meeting. |
