called the meeting to order.
Nominations for Chairman was
discussed.

seconded. All in favor - passed.
Robert Soule
indicated that his term has expired. He will not be seeking re-instatement. It
was acknowledged that Robert’s time and efforts as a Commission member was
appreciated.
Planning Commission minutes of
February 8, 2010 were reviewed. It was noted that the statement therein: “The
two points of her e-mail were that FEMA doesn’t have any language in their
regulations that specifically say “non-residential” and that the
“commercial” designation in the town’s existing regulation was simply
carried over from an outdated Flood hazard model” was to be revised to read

Ed Crelin
made a motion to approve the minutes from February 8, 2010 as revised, 2nd
by
Ann Tiplady
. All in favor - passed.
Existing zoning/building permit
application form was discussed. Christopher Schmelzenbach, ZA requested comment
from the Commission as to the revised form previously submitted. Comments
included typographical, inclusion of applicant e-mail address, % of coverage,
and clarity to the applicant as to when a DRB review would be required. Fees
were discussed with specifics to the present $100.00 additional required for DRB
review. Christopher Schmelzenbach, ZA is to determine the advertisement cost
associated with such.
The Town Plan was discussed.
Ann Tiplady
presented suggested revisions/deletions. Mapping, transportation and
affordable housing requirements were discussed. It was decided that these will
be reviewed and further discussed in future meetings.

is to continue with additional recommended revisions.
The Town of Wallingford’s interim flood regulations were discussed with specific focus as to the
accuracy of existing FEMA mapping which is utilized for determination of Flood
regulation applicability. It was stated that 42 parties are presently within the
FEMA designated special flood hazard area. Previously 4 parties have been
removed from this designation as a result of engineering studies conducted
independently and at the property owner’s expense.
It was noted that there is a 14-page certification that is required to be completed and accompany regulation
submission to the Selectboard.
No new business was discussed.
