Attendees:

The meeting was called to order at 6:45 PM.

1) Old Business
a)
Watershed Grant Project
$400 left in account,
Shannon
will make sure account is paid in full to “Nail it
Down” hardware ($100)
b)
Future scheduling of Stone Meadow signs when weather allows.
c)
As part of the grant ($8500 matched by town’s $1000, totaling $9500), we
will build a boardwalk over the
bog to connect the boys’ camp and the beach, clean-up of trash, a small 12’ span
bridge. Materials will be
picked up from the hardware store to be stored.
d)
Jay Kenlan worked with members Josh and cousin, Jillian, and Bill
Scranton to construct six bluebird houses on March 26. Jay said that he
would also build larger houses for wood ducks / screech owls.
e)
Green-Up Day spearheaded by Jillian to be promoted by flyers,
advertising, hidden “golden” eggs with prizes from local businesses. Jillian
had a sign-up sheet as to which member would contact what business for a
donation.
f)
AVCCVT Mini Grant of $500 will go towards mowing of the meadow at
Stone Meadow, refreshments, advertising.
g)
Cabin Fever Party March 5 from 12-2 at
Elfin
Lake
parking area was quite successful despite the light rain.
Hot dogs, hot chocolate, marshmallows roasted on a fire
pit, skating on a cleared area of the lake, sledding. Turn-out of 50-60. Ralph
interviewed for local cable TV. Talk of expanding it next year, having a
moonlight activity, year around talks and activities.
The town plowed the beach road, which allowed us to use this area for a winter
activity.

c)
250th Town Anniversary – Debbie attended town planning
meeting on March 22. Town is planning an August 28 2 PM picnic at the boys’
camp on
Elfin
Lake
with sales of food by town organizations and churches, children’s games,
music, to conclude with a program at 4 PM. It was decided not to have fireworks.
The next meeting is scheduled for April 19 at 6:30 at the Town Hall.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 PM.
The next meeting will be Monday, April 25, 6:00 PM at the Town Hall.
