long-standing member of the Planning Commission, passed away unexpectedly on

Chair Rick Smith called the
meeting to order at
7 p.m.
1.
Review and Approval of the Meeting Minutes of
February
12, 2007
:
A. Jay moved and Rob seconded to approve
the Minutes of
February
12, 2007
as
submitted.
Motion carried 7-0.
2.
Other:
a.
National Flood Insurance Program Community Floodplain Management
Regulations Review Checklist.
The
2007 Proposed Zoning Regulations, containing the State of
Vermont
Model
Flood Hazard Area Regulations, were submitted to the State of
Vermont ANR River Management Program
for review as suggested by the Rutland Regional
Planning Commission. A review
checklist was received from the State identifying several areas to be corrected;
the suggested corrections were discussed at length.
A. Jay moved and Rob seconded to make the
recommended corrections to the Flood Hazard Area Regulations for submittal to
the Selectboard for inclusion in the previously submitted 2007 Proposed Zoning
Regulations.
Motion carried 7-0.
b.
Home Occupations.
Town Clerk Joyce Barbieri, speaking on behalf of Lawrence Jenney who had
received a permit for a Home Occupation (computer sales of Herbalife), asked if
the $57 base permit fee could be returned to Mr. Jenney.
The Planning Commission discussed Home Occupations, that they are enabled
by legislation, and that the Selectboard must make the decision on returning the
fee to Mr. Jenney.
A. Jay moved and Rob seconded to make
Home Occupations exempt from a permit requirement and fee with the change to be
submitted to the Selectboard for inclusion in the 2007 Proposed Zoning
Regulations. Motion
carried 7-0.
c.
Peter Upton of the Conservation
Commission spoke of the State of
Vermont
’s program for the conservation of wildlife.
He has requested John Austin of the Department of Wildlife to attend and
speak at one of the Conservation Commission meetings, the 4th Monday
of the month, and extended the invitation to the Planning Commission members.
d.

April 9th. Rick
and Melissa will be out of town.
