meeting
Attendance: Keith
Shelvey, Lisa Marchinkoski, Diane Baker, and Joan Lattuca
Meeting called to order at 5:03 p.m.
The
committee reviewed what the summer recreation program Director wants to purchase
with the McDonald’s grant. The
paddleboat and the picnic tables will be used by all.
The other materials will be specifically for the summer program.
Josh had asked if cement picnic tables could be purchased instead of
metal ones. No one in the area makes
the cement tables. The closest that
could be found was in Syracuse, NY. The
committee agrees that purchasing the metal tables would make more sense.
They are also more comfortable, just as durable, and lighter.
Keith shared that the bathrooms at Elfin Lake have been
pressure washed. The toilets and
sinks for the lake have been purchased and will be installed.
The floors were painted. Keith
has fixed the split rail fence to make people go to the right of the building.
Perhaps we could get some hostas to plant around the rail to deter people
from walking through that side of the building.
Joan said she would plant the hostas if Lisa gets them.
Someone will need to take care of the rain garden by raking the leaves
out. If we put some mulch around it,
it would look very nice. The grass at the lake still needs to be mowed.
Some plants has taken over the area that has been planted.
The school is planning to use the lake Wednesday the 15th.
Buoys have been ordered for the lake.
The picnic tables have been painted.
Julie had mentioned having someone to cut back the brush
from the road. The brush around the
tennis courts needs to be cut out again.
Meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
