John West
Chairman, called the meeting to order.
Bob Soule
made a motion to approve the minutes from May, 11th, Jane Krate Duda
2nd, Passed. One abstention,
Ed Crelin
not present at last meeting.
The Planning Commission received a review form from the
Selectboard for the Zoning Administrator. The Board agreed to refer it back to
the Selectboard. The Board felt conducting reviews for employees was not part of
their duties. They would be happy to give a recommendation.
A copy of a letter dated May 7, 2009, addressed to the
Selectboard was given to the Planning Commission. It addressed an on going issue
with water drainage on Meacham Street.
John West
introduced a low impact development storm water management bylaw model for
discussion.
Ed Crelin
made a motion to have the state guide the storm water issues. The motion was
not 2nd.
Bob Soule
felt further discussion on this issue was needed. Perhaps a portion of the
model introduced by
John West
would be beneficial to the Town.
Bill Brooks
advised the Board the drainage issue on Meacham Street
has been resolved.
The Board discussed the review process for the Town Plan.
Information was given by Jane Krate Duda, about using a program called
“Survey Monkey”. It was agreed upon that the Planning Commission would like
to have a survey available online, in a mailing and at Wallingford Day.
Bob Soule
discussed a survey conducted in town in 1996. 1,060 surveys were mailed out
with a response of 338.
New business:
Bill Brooks
asked the Board who would be attending the Selectboard Public Hearing for the
adoption of the Subdivision and Zoning Regulations taking place on June 15th.
John West
advised Bill he would be attending the meeting.
