Planning Commission minutes of
May 9, 2011 were reviewed. Derek
made a motion to approve minutes, Ann 2nd the motion. Passed by all.
Town Plan discussion:
John West provided a review checklist completed by the Rutland Regional Planning Commission (RRPC).
- John had given the plan to RRPC for suggestions
- RRPC used a pass fail instead of their scoring system on the form
- Out of 30 sections 25 were marked as “Ps” and 5 as “Fs”
- Review of the section that Ann wrote on Agriculture and forestry.
- How to make the Forestry part of the plan more concise.
- Alpaca are referenced in the plan.
- Employment and income stats reviewed
- Deadline is July for the RRPC town plan.
- John to make final changes in the plan.
- Discussion changed to flood plain regulations
- Hearing needs to be scheduled.
- Flood plain regs are available on the Web site.
