Minutes*
January 13, 2009

Attendance: Keith
Shelvey, Lisa Marchinkoski, Tom Phillips, and Tony Petrossi
Meeting called to order at 6:50.
Minutes: Keith
made a motion to approve the minutes of 11/5/08.
Tom seconded the motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
The committee discussed the write-up for the town report.
Discussed purchasing the fencing for around the playground area.
Keith will contact Pratico’s to schedule for this spring.
Performance review for Elfin
Lake
employees was discussed.
Committee attendance policy:
The committee feels we need to create a policy regarding attendance to
remain on the committee. We have an
individual who has expressed interest in joining the committee.
Keith made a motion to create a policy that to remain on the committee
you must attend 75% of the meetings. Lisa
seconded the motion. The motion
passed unanimously.
Keith discussed the summer recreation program.
We would like at least one of the employees of the summer recreation
program to be a certified lifeguard so they could act as a lifeguard at the
beach. Tom expressed concern over
the pay given to the summer employees and indicated that the Selectboard has
expressed concern over this as well. We
would welcome any concerns to be brought to our meetings.
The committee would like to meet with the school board to begin
discussion about using the school for the summer program.
Agenda: grant
writing, We would like to invite Cheryl Maniery and Judy Fox to our next
meeting.
