The USDA Forest Service has completed the development of the proposed action for the Early Successional Habitat Creation Project located on the Green Mountain National Forest, Manchester Ranger District in southern Vermont.  We are now inviting your written comments for the proposal during a scoping and 30-day comment period that will begin with the publication of a legal notice in the Rutland Herald newspaper.  


A detailed description of the proposal (scoping information) and associated maps showing where proposed activities are located can be found on our project website at: (be sure to look at the documents filed under the “Scoping” tab).   


The documents are also available for review at the Manchester Ranger Station located in Manchester, VT; and town offices located in Arlington, Dover, Glastenbury, Jamaica, Landgrove, Manchester, Mount Holly, Mount Tabor, Peru, Pownal, Readsboro, Searsburg, Shaftsbury, Stamford, Stratton, Sunderland, Wallingford, Wardsboro, Weston, Wilmington, and Woodford.
