meeting to order at

Review and Approval of the Meeting Minutes of
December
11, 2006
and
January 8,
2007

11, 2006

submitted.
Motion carried 6-0.

approve the Minutes of

submitted.

submitted.

2.
Other:
a.
Response to District Environmental Commission (Act 250) re: Question 6
and the Gravel Pit Interim Zoning regulation.
The letter written by Town Administrator Julie Sharon dated
February 7, 2007
was read and approved.
b.
Mark Blucher, Rutland Regional Planning Commission Director, submitted
comments to the Proposed Zoning Regulations but after the Planning
Commission’s Public Hearing. According
to recent Selectboard Meeting Minutes, Mr. Blucher will be invited to attend one
of the Selectboard’s meetings to discuss what changes the Selectboard can make
to the Proposed Zoning Regulations.
Rick Smith mentioned the 1992 Superior Court Decision (Cottrell 158-500)
regarding major or substantial changes suggested by the Selectboard; and all
agreed that perhaps the Selectboard should consult the Town Attorney.
c.
The Zoning Administrator’s decrease in salary for 2007-2008 compared to
other employees’ increases in salary.
d.
Zoning violation enforcement currently on hold pending a Selectboard
directive.
e.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment and its possible rebirth as the
Development Review Board.
f.
The Orton Foundation grant.
g.
The
Rutland
Economic Development Commission regarding
properties in
Wallingford
.
