rotary annual lobster bake

The Wallingford Rotary will be hosting its annual Lobster Bake at Elfin Lake on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. As usual, guests will be treated to fresh lobster with all the fixings plus beverages and dessert. For those that aren’t lobster happy, please don’t distress – the Rotary also offers grilled steak dinners with all the same fixings for those who’d prefer beef. The Lobster Bake is the Rotary’s main fundraiser and helps to support the Rotary and its members in their mission of “service above self”. This fundraiser helps to fund the Rotary’s annual Bike Safety Day here in Wallingford, as well as its Dictionary Project where elementary school children in Wallingford and surrounding communities are given dictionaries each year. Additionally, the Rotary provides scholarships to several Mill River High School students each year, helping to make college a little more affordable for local families.

Please come out and join us for an enjoyable fun evening, eating and socializing with your neighbors and friends! Tickets are $25 per person for either lobster or steak and can be purchased from any Wallingford Rotarian or you may call Tammy Heffernan at 259-3711 for tickets. In addition to the dinner, the Rotary also sponsors a 50/50 raffle that also features prizes donated by local area merchants. Raffle tickets can be purchased regardless of attendance at the Lobster Bake. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 tickets for $20. Again, your local Rotarians will have raffle tickets to sell to you.

Wallingford Rotary thanks you once again for your continued support!
