Attendance:
Keith Shelvey, Tony Petrossi,
Jim Osmer, Lisa Marchinkoski, Tom Phillips, and Paul DiIonno
Meeting called to order at
6:45

Approval of Minutes: Tony
made a motion to approve the minutes of 5/12/09. Jim seconded the motion.
Motion passed unanimously.
Elfin
Lake: Keith shared a survey that Julie
would like to be completed by season pass holders.
The committee discussed suggestions of questions for the survey.
We are already aware of what the areas of concern are and don’t feel we
need questions about these areas. We
would like to get other forms of information, such as questions that address
safety, parking, beachfront, availability and cost of concession items. We would
also like questions regarding what they enjoy most about the lake.
What would improve the overall experience at the lake?
Overall appearance? Is the
picnicking area adequate? Is the
playground area user friendly? Are
lifeguards easily identifiable? Do
we have adequate lifeguard coverage?
Income and expenses for the lake were reviewed.
We will have more specific information regarding the finances of the lake
after it closes in two weeks.
We do have an attendance list of the busiest times at the
lake. This will be useful for
staffing for next year.
When the lake closes for the year, the dock needs to be
brought in by the lifeguards and the picnic tables needs to be stacked and the
whole area and building needs to be cleaned.
The lake closes Sunday, August 23.
Summer Recreation Program:
There was discussion about the expenses and income.
Field trips of the program were discussed.
We would like to explore policies of using the school buses for field
trips in the future.
