Members present: Ben Clark, John West, Derek Farmer, and Ann Tiplady .  

Others present: ( Bill Brooks stopped in), Peter Hathaway, Zoning Administrator.  

7:11 p.m. John West called the meeting to order.  

Unofficial Planning Commission minutes of Feb. 14, 2011 were reviewed.  D. Farmer made a motion to accept minutes, John West 2^nd the motion.  Passed by all.  

Board discussed nominations for the Chairman. After deliberations, John West was nominated by Ann Tiplady. Ben Clark seconds. All agree.  

General discussion included:

• 12 out of 20 pages of the new town plan are completed
• Committee reviewed maps to be included in town plan
• Regional Planning Commission requirements for the town plan were discussed.
• Time line for completion of Wallingford Town plan was discussed. Regional Planning Commission has set a deadline for September 2011.
• Committee discussed the pros and cons of mixed zoning.
• Planning commission and Selectboard need to approve the town plan.
• Wallingford population statistics (2010)….Decrease in population of 8.6% in past 10 years.
• Committee noted that 206 houses are vacant in Wallingford.
• Kids Cove – Environmental Court case was discussed. Court ruled in favor of the Town of Wallingford DRB.
• The Rutland Regional Planning Commission open house was discussed.
• The committee reviewed assorted mail.
• Committee set the wait time for a quorum at 15 minutes.

Meeting adjourned at 8:11 p.m.
