Memorial Day Parade:  Bill Carris will be the speaker.  All those participating have been contacted.  Parade begins at 10:00 .

Vandalism:  The street light has been repaired and the parking lot is being chained at night.  This seems to have helped this situation.

The gate to Elfin Lake has been welded and repaired.

We need to get Phil Baker to the lake this week.  A time needs to be set up to meet to plan the work with Keith, Rodney, Bill and Tom.  They plan to go look over the site after this meeting.

Lake plans to open June 14 and closes mid August.  Lifeguards that are interested are Ian Tally, Lynn Wade, and two people from the YES program.  Sue indicated she would do 20 – 25 hours per week.

Summer Recreation Program:  Program will begin June 23.

Tony was asked by a player from the Rutland semi-pro football team if they can have practice at the recreation field.  They would practice two nights per week.  Lisa made a motion that they be allowed to practice at the field as long as they submit proof of insurance, follow the rules of the park, do not interfere with baseball/softball practices, and repair any field damage that is incurred.  Keith seconded the motion.  Motion passed unanimously.

Softball tournament:  Tom indicated there is lots of interest.  He will continue to pursue this.

Fencing:  $2880 for a 160’ 4’ high fence from Pratico to be placed in the woodchips, cemented.  We will follow up with Springfield fencing to compare prices.
