Attendance:
Sue Duskiewicz, Keith Shelvey, Tom Phillips, Lisa Marchinkoski,
Meeting called to order at 6:35.
Minutes: Keith
made a motion to approve the minutes of August 22, 2007.
Tom seconded the motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
Reviewed accounting reports for the recreation budget.
Sue will compare the reports to the records she has.
Elfin
Lake
salaries came in about $700 under budget. Sue
has a summer recreation account that is separate from the salaries.
We are picking up the other costs, including port-o-potty and electric.
Sue is unsure why $463 is listed as a cost under summer program as an
expense, but it was actually income that Sue turned into the town from Danby
payment. If this is the case, that
least $811.19 in expenses from the summer recreation program.
This money was actually put into the separate checking account for summer
recreation. From these reports, we
are $255.91 over budget for summer program.
Lake
budget we are under budget on salaries telephone and maintenance by $1084.88.
There will still be another phone bill, porto-potties and potential
salaries for June 2008. There should
be income of $1000 from VSAC and tapestry around $800.
We would like two porto-potties on the field around May 1.
We will discuss if we want to leave two all season or have one pulled
early.
We need to know if will be any additional expense other
than those listed on the report, will there be any income in June, what happens
to the money that is over budgeted. When
one line item is under budget, can it be used for other areas that are over
budget? There is not a balance that
is brought forward, what happens to that money?
We can not decipher where the money was spent on the
bleachers, benches, or raft. We
would like Joyce to attend our next meeting to help us understand these issues.
Sue would like to ask to store the craft tables at the town
hall so they will be out of the building at the field.
The legs of these tables need to be reinforced.
