Wallingford Fire District No. 1

 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL COMMITTEE MEETING
 July 24, 2007

Called to Order:

Chris Rabtoy called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.   Also present were Chris McPhee and Rose Regula.   Stephanie Biagini/Clerk-Treasurer was absent.  

Visitors:  Jim Bowen, Byron Finger and Jamie Start  

Lodge Issue:  The lodge had been booked for two weddings for the same day.  The committee gathered the written documentation that had been available through the office to include written correspondences to the caretaker requesting the surrendering of contracts.  After careful review and a lengthy discussion the committee made a decision to accept the contract that had been written in 2006.  C. Rabtoy made the motion to compensate the second wedding and the committee agreed to reimburse their rental that they had paid in full, reprinting of the invitations and postage.  R. Regula seconded the motion.  Motion carried (3-0).   

Earlier in the meeting C. Rabtoy made the motion to go into executive session and C. McPhee seconded the motion.  R. Regula did not feel that it was necessary to go into executive session, so they didn’t, so the executive session was not entered into.  

Prudential Committee Pay Order:

C. Rabtoy made the motion to accept the orders as presented.  R. Regula seconded the motion.   Rabtoy said No further discussion.  Motion carried (3-0).  

Next Meeting:

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be held at on August 8, 2007 @ 7:00 p.m. – Town Hall.  

Adjournment:

C. Rabtoy made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.  C. McPhee seconded the motion.  No further discussion.  Motion carried (3-0).  Meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
