Wallingford Fire District No. 1 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL
COMMITTEE MEETING Called to Order:
Scott Sendra called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Also present was Alicia Sharp, Dennis Stocker, and Maureen Duchesne
Clerk/Treasurer. Visitors: None. Approval for
Minutes: Dennis made a motion to approve the minutes as presented and
it was seconded by Alicia. With no
discussion the motion carried (3/0). Approval for the
Fire District Pay Order: Dennis made a motion to approve the pay
orders and Alicia seconded the motion. Motion carried (3/0). Old Business: None. New Business: Maureen brought up that we needed to look at the Fire District Tax rate for the fiscal year and adjust. The board discussed it and decided that at our next meeting Maureen will present a rate and the board will then vote on it. Mark sent some information to the board that the tractor is
running on its last leg and he had to make some temporary fixes to it to keep it
operational. We will have to soon be
thinking about getting a new one. Jim Bowen also sent information that he had a water leak at
the lodge that has now been repaired.
He also asked the board about getting a load of gravel for the road and
have it graded for $350.00. Dennis
made the motion and Scott seconded it that the road to the lodge be done.
With no further discussion motion carried. (3/0) Public Comments:
None. Other
Business/Announcements: Scott asked the rest of the board if they had
read the article in the newspaper in regards to the road conditions and the
comments made by Selectman Josh Gilman that with the merge of the Fire District
and the Town they would have more equipment and manpower.
This started a discussion as to what equipment the fire district owns
that would help the town because we only have an old tractor and riding lawn
mower. As far as manpower our two
employees are certified water/sewer operators so they would not help with the
road crew. The board did not know
where this comment had anything to do with the road conditions. Executive Session:
None. Next Meeting: The
next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be July 14,
2010 at 6:00 P.M. at the Wallingford Fire Station on Adjournment:
Alicia made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.
Dennis seconded the motion. No
further discussion. Motion carried
(3/0). The meeting adjourned at 7:08
P.M. Respectfully Submitted: Maureen Duchesne - Clerk/Treasurer Date Approved: July 14, 2010 |
