Wallingford Fire District No. 1

 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL COMMITTEE MEETING
December 23, 2009

Called to Order:  Scott Sendra called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  Also present was Charlie Baker, Dennis Stocker, and Maureen Duchesne Clerk/Treasurer.   

Visitors:  None.  

Approval for Minutes: Scott made a motion and Charlie seconded that the minutes for December 9th be accepted as presented. With no discussion motion carried. (3/0)  

Approval for the Fire District Pay Order:  Dennis made a motion and Charlie seconded that the pay orders be accepted. With no discussion motion carried. (3/0)  

Old Business:   Scott made a motion and Dennis seconded that we accept the water/sewer budget with the change to bring Dale on full time for water.  With no further discussion motion carried. (3/0)  

The use of a flat rate for water/sewer was talked about further from last meeting and it will be set at the January 13^th meeting.  

New Business:  A discussion about the PTO time for the two employees took place and Dennis made the motion to increase Mark to 120 hours and Dale will get 64 hours per year.  The motion was seconded by Scott and the motion carried. (3/0)  

A letter was read by the committee from a customer about getting an allowance for water that had to be run off to get it to come clean after the hydrant flushing.  Scott made a motion and Dennis seconded that an average from the last 3 years for the same time frame will be used and give an allowance for anything over that amount.  With no further discussion motion carried. (3/0)

Executive Session:   None

Next Meeting:  The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be January 13, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. at the Wallingford Fire Station on Railroad Street.   

Adjournment:  Dennis made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.  Charlie seconded the motion.  No further discussion.  Motion carried (3/0).  The meeting adjourned at 7:01 P.M.
