Wallingford Fire District No. 1

 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL COMMITTEE MEETING
August 26, 2009

Called to Order:  Scott Sendra called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.   Also present was Dennis Stocker, Charlie Baker, and Maureen Duchesne/Clerk-Treasurer.   

Visitors:  Jeff Duchesne came to give an update on the hepatitis shots. Stephane has to get a release from the doctor that got the serum to allow the nurse from the hospital to administer the shots. Jeff said this will be taken care of by the end of September.  Jeff also asked about the Knox-Box for the boy’s camp and the board said they would look at the contract to see if it was included.  

Alicia Sharp came to give an update as to where the delinquent taxes stand.  She stated that we have collected several delinquent bills and is working on many to have payment plans.   

Approval for Minutes:   Charlie made a motion and Scott seconded that the minutes for August 12th be accepted as presented. With no discussion motion carried. (3/0)

Approval for the Fire District Pay Order:  Scott made a motion and Charlie seconded that the pay orders be accepted. With no discussion motion carried. (3/0)  

Old Business:  It was brought up that maybe we could invite Steve Baker back to see if he would be interested in logging off some of the land that he is going to tap.  

Scott said that he picked up some chairs from the town hall to use at the Lodge.  

New Business:  Dennis brought up that Johnson Energy had a used diesel tank that the fire dept. could get for $300.00 and that is delivered and installed. After some discussion about budget and money available Dennis made the motion and Charlie seconded that we purchase the tank and have it installed inside the fire house. With no further discussion motion carried. (3/0)  

Maureen reported that we have a big leak at the Timber Hills Estate pump house that is being worked on and all residents affected have been notified.  

Public Comments:  None  

Other Business/Announcements:

Executive Session:   Scott made a motion and seconded by Dennis to go into executive session. The board went into executive session at 7:30 to discuss an issue that had come up. We came out at 7:34 pm with no action taken.  

Next Meeting:  The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at 6:00 P.M. at the Wallingford Fire Station on Railroad Street.

Adjournment:  Scott S made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.  Dennis seconded the motion.  No further discussion.  Motion carried (3/0).  The meeting adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
