Wallingford Fire District No. 1 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL
COMMITTEE MEETING Call to Order:
Scott Sendra called the meeting to order at Visitors: Steve
Baker came to ask the board about doing a lease so that he can tap the trees on
the land that the Fire District owns adjacent to his property. Steve said he was
going to run a pipe system. He said he typically pays .50 cents a tap and
thought we would have about 800. Scott
made a motion and Dennis seconded that we draw up a 10 yr. lease with Steve
Baker to go ahead and tap the trees. The motion carried. (3/0) Approval for
Minutes: Charlie made a motion and Scott seconded that the
minutes for July 8th be accepted as presented. With no discussion motion
carried. (3/0) Approval for the
Fire District Pay Order: Dennis made a motion and Charlie seconded that the
pay orders be accepted. With no discussion motion carried. (3/0) Old Business: The
committee went over the lodge rates for 2009 and the peak and off peak season.
It was decided that the peak season will run to the 3rd
Saturday of October. The rates did
increase just a little for the peak season and a copy of the new rates will be
posted outside the office. The
motion was made by Dennis and seconded by Scott to approve the changes made for
the 2010 rates and season length. With no further discussion the motion carried.
(3/0) New Business: The
3rd Qtr. Water rate was set at $5.80 and Sewer rate at $3.79.
The motion was made by Scott and seconded by Dennis that we accept these
rates. With no discussion the motion carried. (3/0) Scott made a motion and Dennis seconded that the clerk make
an adjustment to Carol McKeen’s last billing to the sewer portion from a water
leak in her house. No more
discussion motion carried. (2/0) We had two changes from McKernon Group and we did agree to
all changes except the roof over the entry. Scott did sign these and will drop
them off at McKernon Group the next day. These change orders all come under our
contract that we have. Public Comments:
None Other Business/Announcements: Executive Session:
We went into executive session at Next Meeting: The
next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be on Adjournment:
Scott S made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.
Dennis seconded the motion. No
further discussion. Motion carried
