Wallingford Fire District No. 1 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL
COMMITTEE MEETING Called to Order:
Scott Sendra called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. also present was
Alicia Sharp, and Maureen Duchesne Clerk/Treasurer. Visitors: Charlie Baker came just to listen to the meeting and see how things were going. Approval for
Minutes: Scott made a motion to approve the minutes with one small
correction and it was seconded by Alicia. With
no further discussion the motion carried (2/0). Approval for the
Fire District Pay Order: Scott made a motion to approve the pay orders and
Alicia seconded the motion. Motion carried (2/0). Old Business: The
Caretaker’s agreement was signed by Alicia and now has been approved by the
complete board. Alicia filled the board in on where we were with the street
light project to switch to LED lighting. The cost to do this is still quite high
and the board feels it would be a hardship on the taxpayers to continue with
this project at this time, so they have decided to hold off for the time being
until it becomes more cost efficient. New Business:
Maureen let the board know that the main water shut off valve on The board was given an update on the water shut offs that
took place on June 1st by the delinquent tax collector and informed
that a little over $10,000.00 was collected and payment plans have been set up
with the home owners. All the water
was back on by Friday, June 3rd. Public Comments:
None Other Business/Announcements: None Executive Session: None Next Meeting: The
next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be June 22,
2011 at 6:00 P.M. at the Wallingford Fire Station on Railroad Street. Adjournment:
Scott made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.
Alicia seconded the motion. No
further discussion. Motion carried
(2/0). The meeting adjourned at 7:03
