Wallingford Fire District No. 1 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL
COMMITTEE MEETING Called to Order:
Scott Sendra called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. also present was
Alicia Sharp, and Maureen Duchesne Clerk/Treasurer. Visitors: Jennifer
Pascal and Carol Eaton both came to see what was going to be done to get water
to Carol as the pipes have frozen and we can’t dig yet.
Jennifer was told had she run her blow off that she is suppose to have
going we may not have had this problem. Alicia
will call Kevin Brown on Friday to have him get water as a temporary fix until
we can dig up the road. Melissa Boyd came to the board to give them an update on
what she will be doing as the delinquent tax collector to start recouping some
of our back taxes. It was stated
that since letters went out the first part of February about $11,000 has been
collected. Approval for Minutes: Scott made a motion to approve the minutes as presented and it was seconded by Alicia. With no further discussion the motion carried (2/0). Approval for the
Fire District Pay Order: Scott made a motion to approve the pay orders
and Alicia seconded the motion. Motion carried (2/0). Old Business: Scott gave an update on the tractor issue and we can lease a new tractor either quarterly or monthly with a good down payment. He did state that the tractor would have to be ordered as they do not have it on the lot and the board decided they would look into this more a little later in the year as this winter is almost over and we do not want to have to store a new one all summer. New Business: Maureen brought some information about changing banks as
she has spoken with Merchant’s and they will give us a higher interest rate
than we can get at Citizen’s. It
will also be more convenient to do our business.
Scott made a motion and Alicia seconded that we make the move to
Merchant’s Bank. With no further
discussion motion carried (2/0). Public Comments:

Business/Announcements: None. Executive Session: None. Next Meeting: The
next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be March 23,
2011 at 6:00 P.M. at the Wallingford Fire Station on Adjournment: Scott made the motion that the meeting be adjourned. Alicia seconded the motion. No further discussion. Motion carried (2/0).
