Wallingford Fire District No. 1

 MINUTES OF THE PRUDENTIAL COMMITTEE MEETING
March 10, 2010

Called to Order:  Scott Sendra called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  Also present was Dennis Stocker, Alicia Sharp, and Maureen Duchesne Clerk/Treasurer. 

Visitors: John West came and gave an overview of what the jobs for both Dale and Mark entail so that job descriptions could be written up. He brought a draft of some other town’s job descriptions to look at.  He also went over some new rules that may happen down the road with the EPA.  

Fire Chief Jeff Duchesne came to see if the board knew why burn permits were not being given out as the fire department had heard from residents that normally have the dept. do the burns for them that they could not get a permit.  

Approval for Minutes:  Dennis made a motion to approve the minutes as presented and it was seconded by Scott.  With no discussion the motion carried (3/0).  

Dennis made the motion to approve the Annual Meeting Minutes with one small correction and it was seconded by Alicia.  With no further discussion the motion carried. (3/0)  

Approval for the Fire District Pay Order:  Dennis made a motion to approve the pay orders and Alicia seconded the motion. Motion carried (3/0).

Old Business:   Maureen did say she had looked at cell phones and will be doing some further research before the board decides what to do.  It will be discussed again at the next meeting.  

New Business:   Alicia is going to work on getting the job descriptions written up now that we have some idea what the guys actually do for both water and sewer.

Next Meeting:  The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Prudential Committee will be March 24, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. at the Wallingford Fire Station on Railroad Street .    

Adjournment:  Dennis made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.  Alicia seconded the motion.  No further discussion.  Motion carried (3/0).  The meeting adjourned at 7:36 P.M.
